Experience Hospitality 2019 Jeju Project helps students find their future career

Overview

Hospitality is a full-service area of our lives.

In other words, hospitality started at the hotel But now that lifestyle has become our trend, it’s expanding into the elements we need in our daily lives. Hospitality now includes accommodation, fashion, culture, travel, tourism, restaurants, festivals, theme parks, IT, luxury, performing arts, finance, big events, parties, sports, summits and more.


Approach:
  • Select a topic and make a 5 min. film any format you like

  • Application deadline: 28th. October
  • Video submit deadline: 17th November
  • Nominated team announcement: 19th November
  • Workshop & Final competition: 23rd November
Team:
  • Building a team with two students from BHA, KIS-Jeju, NLCS, or St. Johnsbury Academy

Prize:
  • One overnight at Four Seasons Seoul, dinner with Glion Alumni, and filed experience which is Maison Hermes Dosan Park, etc.

Topic 1: Hotel Conversion


‘If you go there, you’ll have a special experience’

Imagine it and embody it!

  • Plan an attractive hotel that will appeal to people around the world in Hala Mountain 한라산 or Hyubjae Beach 협재 해변
  • Included: The concept of the hotel, charm point, entertainment, food, transportation, etc. Considering the various factors
  • Making a video that reveals the uniqueness of the hotel

-Video essential components: “Team Introduction (including team name/team member introduction)”

  • You may use any format you like, however, the video cannot be longer than 5 minutes.

-Photo slides, animations, webtoons, article formats, etc. Freely manufactured in a variety of ways (no restrictions)

Topic 2: Experiential Luxury


According to BCG’s 2018 Luxury Sales Analysis, the money spent on luxury experiences is almost twice as high as the money spent on luxury products. This change in consumption patterns reflects the lifestyles of millennials and GenZ. Personalization is a strong desire to express your own uniqueness. That’s why luxury fashion brands are expanding into the luxury hospitality market in response.

  • You must create GUCCI’s Experiential Luxury Brand as GUCCI’s Brand Creative Director. Choose from three disciplines to create one from Restaurants, hotels and multicultural spaces in Jeju Island 제주도
  • Included: The concept, interior, target audience, location, etc. Considering the various factors
  • Making a video that reveals the uniqueness of the Brand
